Our Translation Services
We provide two specialist translation services for the UK legal aid sector: Legal Aid Translation at LAA rates and Certified Translation for official use.
Legal Aid Translation
Professional document translation at current Legal Aid Agency rates for solicitors and law firms handling legally aided cases. We translate court bundles, witness statements, CAFCASS reports, threshold documents, expert reports, and all other documents required in legal aid proceedings.
Our published rates guide currently uses £100 per 1,000 source words for civil and family matters and £109 per 1,000 source words for criminal matters. The applicable rate, scope, certification requirements and any additional charges are confirmed in the quotation, with funding and recoverability subject to the relevant LAA rules.
Sectors covered: Family Law , Immigration Law , Criminal Law , Civil Law , Child Protection , Asylum & Refugee
Certified Translation
Certified translations can be prepared for UK courts, the Home Office, HMCTS and other receiving bodies where certification is required. The certification format and any signature, stamp or statement requirements are confirmed for the particular instruction.
Documents we certify: Birth certificates, marriage certificates, death certificates, diplomas and degrees, academic transcripts, contracts, wills, powers of attorney, passports, company documents, medical records, and more.
Additional services: Notarised translation, sworn translation, and apostille certification are available for documents requiring international legal authentication.
How Our Pricing Works
Our published legal aid translation rates are calculated from the source-word count. The applicable rate, certification requirements and any additional charges are confirmed in the quotation. See the Legal Aid Rates guide for current published pricing and funding notes.
